What is Meta Conversions API and how should you read EMQ?
What is Meta Conversions API and how should you read EMQ?
Conversions API sends server events to Meta to complement the pixel. Meta documents that pairing, not a 2026 EMQ league table. Event Match Quality is a diagnostic for how well events match, not a creative score and not incrementality. eonik does not implement CAPI; After tracking is honest, the lever you control is still what you make next.

What CAPI actually is
Meta Help: Conversions API lets you share web and offline events directly from your server. Developer docs cover implementation. The pixel still exists. CAPI complements it rather than magically replacing measurement.
Deduplication, event quality, and match keys are engineering work. They are not a substitute for a tired hook.
EMQ without fake league tables
Event Match Quality helps you see whether parameters are populating. Improving EMQ can improve how Meta uses events. It does not publish a universal good-EMQ chart tied to ROAS.
Omit invented 2026 EMQ benchmarks. Use Events Manager diagnostics. Compare your own event quality over time, same pixel and CAPI setup.
After tracking is honest
Clean events do not invent attention. If hook rate is weak versus last week, better match keys will not write a new opening.
Implement CAPI in your stack. Make ads in eonik. You still upload and spend in Ads Manager.
Pixel vs CAPI vs creative
| Layer | Job | eonik? |
|---|---|---|
| Pixel | Browser events | No |
| CAPI | Server events complementing the pixel | No |
| Creative production | Finished on-brand ads you approve | Yes: Mac app |
What usually breaks
- Treating EMQ as incrementality or a creative score.
- Quoting a third-party 2026 EMQ league table.
- Delaying new openings until CAPI is “perfect.”
eonik is not an attribution, tagging, or budget suite. After you understand the readout, the lever you still control is what you make next. Start at how to generate AI ads. You approve every cut; nothing spends.
“Almost any question can be answered, cheaply, quickly, and finally, by a test campaign. And that’s the way to answer them, not by arguments around a table.”
That principle still holds. The next on-brand cut is yours to approve.

Questions
What is a good EMQ score in 2026?
Use Meta’s own diagnostics in Events Manager. There is no third-party league table on this page and no official good EMQ benchmark. Event Match Quality tells you whether parameters populate well enough to match. It is not ROAS and not a reason to skip a new hook; Improve events, then still make ads.
Does CAPI replace the Meta pixel?
Meta documents CAPI as a complement to the pixel, not a magic replacement. Server events can be more durable. You still need deduplication and match keys. Read Help plus developer docs; Tracking hygiene and creative velocity remain different workstreams; eonik implements neither CAPI nor the pixel.
Does eonik send CAPI events?
No. Implement CAPI in your own stack from Meta’s documentation. eonik is a Mac app for making ads you approve. After events are honest, the lever you still control this week is the next on-brand cut; Download when assembly is the bottleneck, not when tags are.
