Eliminate Transition Phrases
Audit your script and remove all connecting phrases like "So," "That's why," or "As a result" between the major sections.

Write in Blocks
Format the script document into a table. Column A is Hooks. Column B is Body. Column C is CTAs. Tell the actor they must pause for 2 full seconds between each block.

If the actor is holding a prop in the Body section, ensure they are not holding it in the Hook section, otherwise the hard cut will create a jarring continuity error.

Start from the body, not the gag

Write the proof and offer first. If that block cannot stand, no hook will save it. Then write openings that all land on the same first body line.

A hook that needs a different demo is a second script. Label it honestly.

Write a hook menu

Draft three to five openings (problem, result, curiosity, interrupt) only the ones you will actually shoot. Time them as posters (first seconds), not as paragraphs.

Spoken line and on-screen line should not fight. Captions will follow kit later.
